Spend the weekend in art and discover 'Passion for Art'
Rotary Cambridge Garden Festival is once again delighted to promote “Passion for Art” being held on the 9 and 10 November. This event celebrates passionate Cambridge art orientated establishments and artists.
Spend a weekend in Cambridge enjoying what’s on offer at both the Garden Festival and the art event. You can indulge yourself soaking up the free self-guided tour of artists' workplaces and art-orientated businesses. There are 13 studios or establishments that provide an opportunity to explore the vibrant art scene in Cambridge.
Here’s a snippet of the final six studios/establishments on show (the first seven were featured in a previous newsletter):
Janet Smith @ The Woolshed Pottery - The Woolshed Pottery at Roto-o-Rangi
is a working pottery with several different kilns available which produce different firing effects - visitors will see an array of work from domestic to more contemporary pieces. Janet includes other local artists' work too.
Heritage Gallery
Both local artists and those from around NZ are represented by this gallery. Displayed are high-quality paintings, glass works, and jewellery.

Now living in Cambridge she has exhibited throughout New Zealand for over 40 years and has contributed to exhibitions in Russia, Portugal, Australia, England, Japan, Germany, and America. Faith is a longstanding member of the Print Council of Aotearoa New Zealand and a strong advocate for young and emerging Printmakers.
Although she generally works with the intaglio techniques of etching and mezzotint her recent works explore the juxtaposition of lino images and Harakeke paper made from native New Zealand flax plants.

From understanding conformation and movement in horse breeding and gesture in art, she’s used all to express her point of view. Award-winning in New Zealand in all disciplines.
